Abstract: "To evaluate the potential of G.mosseae in improving the qualities of tomato seedlings, two cultivars Xuri and Jinlongfenwang were selected and pots experiment was conducted. The results indicated that the qualities of seedlings were both improved by inoculating with G.mosseae when the seeds were sown, but G.mosseae is much efficient in mycorrhizal effect on Jinlongfenwang seedlings, which is perfect symbiosis. The indexes of seedling's quality are 2.38 and 3.49 times for Xuri and Jinlongfenwang respectively compared with the corresponding control.Mycorrhizal effectiveness's of G.mosseae on N uptakes are 47.50% and 87.52%,and P uptakes are 23.08% and 64.74% for Xuri and Jinlongfenwang respectively. So it is practical to culture strong seedlings by apply G.mosseae as a potential biofertilizer in tomato production under protected conditions."
