Abstract: High-oil inbred line By804 and normal inbred line B73 were utilized to clone the gene of enoyl-ACP reductase (ENR) and then to discriminate the difference of sequence and expression at RNA level of ENR in By804 and B73. The results indicated there was no difference in amino acid sequence of ENR in By804 and B73; the expression at RNA level was down-regulated at 15, 25 and 35 d after pollination (DAP) in both By804 and B73 and the expression of ENR in By804 was higher than that in B73 at the same embryo development stage.
