Abstract: The leaves of behaved healthy, leaves changed by flower and tiny leaves with jujube witches' broom?(JWB)of Ziziphus jujuba cv. Zanhuangdazao and the leaves of healthy tree as the control were used in this paper.?The content of chlorophyll, soluble protein,MDA and three kinds of protective enzymes activity of different leaves at?different growth stages were determined to reveal the effect of phytoplasma on jujube physiological metabolism. The?results showed that the content of chlorophyll and soluble protein of diseased leaves were significantly lower than?that of healthy leaves. The POD,SOD activity and MDA content of diseased leaves were significantly higher than?that of healthy leaves,PPO activity was not significantly changed, leaves changed by flower was the most significantly changed than the other diseased leaves. These results indicated that the photosynthesis and protective enzyme system of diseased trees were significantly affected by jujube witches' broom phytoplasma.

Key words: Jujube witches' broom(JWB), Chlorophyll content, SOD, POD, PPO, MDA, Soluble protein
