Study on Relati onship Between Source-sink Characteristics and Spike Grain Weight of Big Kernel Wheat Variety

Abstract: The research was carried out on the relationship between source-sink charaoteristichs and spike grain weight of big kernel wheat variety by using big kernel wheat variety 86(79) and medium kernelwheat variety Yumai No.41,test materials.The main results was,follows:(1) The chlorophyll,total carbohydrate and total nitrogen content in leaves of the big kernel wheat were higher at filling stage.The total carbohydrate and total nitrogen in stems was higher, but dropped fastly,the carbohydrate transport was blocked,the nitrogen was lacking at late stage.(2)The grain weight of big kernel wheat increases quickly,the content of kernel protein was higher,varied steadily and wasn't affected by the accumulation of carbohydrate.(3)Grain filling of big kernel wheat wasn't sufficient at late stage,the plumpness of seed is poor. It presented significant positive correlation between the rate of GA3/ABA in kernd and grain filling rate, but the correlation of rates of GA3/ABA in flag leaf and in kernels wasn't significant.
