Abstract: ADM(Additive-Dominant Maternal) model was used in 15 cytoplasmic male sterile hybrids and their parents to predict the hybrids genotype value and heterosis. It showed that F1 hybrids had significant heterosis.Strong heterosis cross also hacl high genotype value. On the other hand, low heterosis crosses hacl low genotype value. So we can use genotype value combining with heterosis to appraise crosses. It can increase the foresight of breeding and shorten the breeding period.Cross 13(A3×R3)was the best cross, with both highest mid-parent heterosis and highest above better parent heterosis, its genotype value was also very high.
