Abstract: The efficiency of sludge manure in Gaobeidian and combined pollution by copper and zinc in the sludge were studied by means of pot experiment. The results showed:(1)adding this sludge could increase production of vegetables when the amount of sludge was below 0.2 kg/pot.Otherwise, it might result in decrease of production;(2)concentration of copper and zinc in plant of tomato followed the order:in root>in stem>in leaf. The root was the part in which the heavy metals concentrated, therefore, it was severely damaged;(3)available contents of Cu and Zn in sludge could decrease after the sludge was mixed with zeolite or lime for 48hrs, and the effect of mixed lime was better compared with the mixed zeolite.

Key words: Sludge, Tomato, Wheat, Copper, Zinc
