Abstract: Potassium(K)supplying power and K fixation characteristics of 8 representative plow layer soils were studied by laboratory analysis, pot culture experiment and K fixation trials. The results showed that:(1)K supplying power of Shajiang black soil was the lowest among 3 soils based on the lowest total net amount of K uptake.(2)K fixation power by soil was negatively correlated with total net amount of K uptake. There was the high amount of K fixation in Shajiang black soil, Hongnian soil, and clayed fluvo-aquic soil, and low in sandy fluvo-aquic soil.
