Abstract: Sugar contents, activities of related enzymes and gene expression of soluble acid invertase during tomato fruit development by PCPA treatment were studied. The results exhibited that activity of acid invertase and gene expres2 sion of soluble acid invertase enhanced duringfruit development, while the contents of fructose and glucose increased. The activity of acid invertase was improved and gene expression of soluble acid invertase was accelerated during mature period of fruit after PCPA treatment so that the contents of fructose and glucose were increased.
