Abstract: Eight parental lines of Chinese cabbage was cultured in vitro. Effect of hormone combinations, different genotypes, ages of seedlings etc on shoot and plant regeneration from cotyledonary explants of Chinese cabbage was discussed. Maximum shoot regeneration was obtained in MS medium complementing with 2 mg/L 6-BA.0.5 mg/L NAA and 5 mg/L AgNO3.Medium for root was MS containing 0.2 mg/L NAA. The survial rate of transplanting plantlets was as high as 90 % in Spring.
