Abstract: This s tudy evaluated the influence of NO3-N to NH4-N or CO(NH2)2-N ratios on physiological activity, growth and development, composi tion of yield and fruit quality of tomato. The results are as follows: plants supplied wi th nitrogen at NH4-N/ NH4-N+ NO3-N of 50% or as CO(NH2)2-N had normal potosynthet ic rate, plant growth, root vigor and leaf water content are normal. The plant vegetative growth and the total yield were promoted in the fal-l winter exper-iment, in spring-summer experiment, the early yield and dry weight increased, the total yield and the average weight of individual fruit were not af fected, and stora ge time was prolonged. The plant suplied with nit rogen at over NH4-N/ NH4-N+NO3-N of 75% or as CO(NH2)2-N intrient solution had apoor growth. With the increase of NH4-N or CO(NH2)2-N ratio in nutrient solution, the concentration of total N, P in the leaves increased. Suger and Vcin the fruit increased, and the total acid content of fruit was not affected.
