Abstract: In 1994 and 1995,154 strains of Erysiphe graminis f. sp. tritici colected from Hebei Province were inoculated on 15 wheat cultivars and isolines with known powdery mildew resistance monogenes. The virulence gene frequencies of V1、V3a、V3b、V3c、V5、V6、V7、V8、V1+2+9 appeared very high (more than 96%), followed byV17(51.9%), the virulence gene frequencies ofV2、V4a、V2+6were 25.3% and 20.8%, respectively, and those of V4b were low (less than 3.9%).Virulence gene combinations frequencies ofV1+V3a+V3b+V3c+V5+V6+V7、V8+V1+2+9,达98.1%,其次是V2+V2+6、V2+V4a、V4a+V2+6、V4a+V4b、V2+V4b、V2+V4a+V4b appeared very high (90%-98%). The virulence gene combination frequencies ofV4b+V2+6、V2+V4a+V4b、V2+V4a+V4b+V2+6 were low(less than 2.6%), it showed that cultivars with corresponding resistance gene combinations would be highly resistant.
