Abstract: In pot and field experiment in 1989-1992,the retarding effect of S-07 on senescence of wheat leaves (flag leaf, No 2 leaf, N0.3 leaf )during ripening stage, and the yield increasing effect were studied. The results were as follows: 1.The leaf senescence during ripening stage was associated with increases of electrolytic leakage and MDA content of leaves, and also related with decreases of chlorophyll content and SOD activities. The physiological changes were retarded when neated by S-07.2.The rate of chlorophyll degradation of flag leaf floated on S-07 solution was delayed under dark condition.3.The photosynthesis rate of wheat plants was enhanced when treated by S-07 spraying.4.The grain yield was increased around 12-16% and 1000-grain weight increased 3-4g, when 20-40ppm S-07 solution was sprayed at heading stage with 750kg/ha.
