Abstract: Molybdenum exists in soil and plants at very low levels. Its quantitative detection is in the range from ppm to ppb. Satisfactory results can be obtained by the use of polarography. Polarographic effect of molybdenum is going on in the background solution system containing sulphic acid, amygdalic acid, and potassium chlorate, and is affected by many factors. In this experiment, the conditions for the determination of molybdenum in soil and plants have been mainly studied. Sample tests from field and pot culture showed good correlation. This method is now adopted in production and scientific research.
