Abstract: Treatments of NP as seed manure and soaking maize seeds with Zn++ (0.1%), BR (Brassinolide) (1, 0.1, 0.001Ppm) before sowing could increase cold tolerance of the plant. Compared with the control, under cold-stress environment, these treatments could all reduce protoplasmic membrane permeability of leaf cell, also increase the chlorophyll content and decrease stomatic resistance, thus increasing photosynthetic rate and adding kernel yield per plant. Spraying the leaves of late-sowing maize with PK (0.5%), GA3 (20ppm), Zn++ (0.05%) and BR (Ippm) at flowering stage could alleviate low temperature effect, raise fertile grains, decrease shrunken grains and the length of barren tip of ear and increase one hundred grains weight.
