Abstract: Microbial method was used to remove ammonia-nitrogen pollutant from the aquaculture water, isolated 31 strains with high Ammonia-nitrogen removing ability from the aquaculture sediment.Among these strains, strain AD-8 showed the highest ability of removing ammonia-nitrogen.In the culture, its removal rate to 200 mg/L ammonia nitrogen was 86%,its removal rate was 91.2% in 48 h in low temperature(15℃).In simulated aquaculture waste water, its net removal efficiency of ammonia nitrogen was 90% after 48 hours.AD-8 was identified as Pseudomonas alcaliphila according to its morphological, physiological and biochemical properties and phylogenetic analysis of its 16S rDNA sequence.
