Abstract: In order to obtain some new biocontrol resources of corn shealth rot,a bacterial strain YM-8,which showed the inhibitory activity against Fusarium proliferatum, was isolated from the corn field by the confrontation culture. It was also displayed that Fusarium graminearum,Curvularia lunata,Fusarium moniliforme and Botrytis cinerea were also significantly inhibited to varying degrees. YM-8 was identified as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens by its morphological characteristics, physiological and biochemical properties, 16S rDNA sequence, gyrA and gyrB sequence analysis.

Key words: Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, 16S rDNA, gyrA, gyrB, Biocontrol
