Progress in Research of Drought Resistance Mechanism in Plants

Abstract: Drought affects plant growth seriously, this paper introduces the plant drought resistance mechanism andresearch development in the shape structure of roots; the water content of leaf tissue, the changing of chlorophyll contentand carotenoid; osmotic potential and the activit ies of osmotic regulate material, as praline( Pro) , superoxide dismutase(SOD) , abscisisic acid( ABA) and glycinebetaine; the advents and affects of regulatory proteins and function proteins;and drought resistance genetic engineering under drought stress.
