Abstract: The 11 wheat cultivars under plot cultivated condition were used in this experiment. The results showed that there were highly significant differences between various cultivars.W:L was highly significantly positive related to grass weight per stem, grains per spike, thousand grain weight, spike weight per stem and was highly significant negative related to spikes, harvest index.W:L of macro spike cultivars was much higher than that of multi spike cultivars, but harvest index and grain yield:grass yield(sink:source)were much lower. The breeding of mid typed cultivars can harmonize relations between high yield and lodging resistance.

Key words: Wheat, Weight:length per stem, Genotype, Yield character
