Abstract: The study of variation between Red Delicious and Red Fuji apples in terms of flesh firmness and respiration rates under 5 simulated transportation and sale conditions during the storage period of 130-240 days. The results show that:1)the selection of suitable storage method ,which can keep high storage quality,is the key to ensure transportation and market quality.2)a variation exists between Red Delicious and Red Fuji apples in terms of flesh firmness and respiration rates. The transportation and market quality of Red Fuji is much better than that of Red Delicious;3) in terms of transportation and market quality,it is better to use low temperature chain.Under normal temperature keep the temperature as low as possible. It is important to study technique of fruit is post storage physiology and appropriate measures of post storage at the present stage.
