Abstract: An efficient program for plant regeneration from cotyledon explants of Capsicum annuum has been developed.Using this program, plant regeneration rate with eight peppercultivars including sweet and chilli type reached 100%.This program can be used in rapid propagation of pepper hybrid as well as genetic transformation via cocultivating of leaf discs with agrobacterium. In the program the organic nutrient components have been improved and the regeneration rate, therefore, has been remarkably raised. The program is:i.shoot buds formation from pepper cotyledon explants on PD medium (20 .days).2.shoot buds elongation to shoot buds with at least two nodes (10 days).3.root formation on PR medium(20 days).4.transplanting plantlets to vormiculite pots and watering with Horland scution.5.transplanting plants on nutrient soil and culturing in green house.
