Abstract: Expression of CD399094-like gene encoding RPL41is up-regulated in developing seed coat of A. flavus sensitive cultivar. We have cloned similar RPL41est from resistant cultivar J11. The relation of RPL41in different peanut cultivars to A. flavuswas studied through comparison and analysis of similar ests from sensitive and resistant cultivars in GeneBank database, and quantitative PCR on different peanut fruit tissues from different developmental stages of A. flavusresistant and sensitive cultivars. The results showed that more RPL41were expressed in developing seeds of resistant varieties than that of sensitive cultivars, in addition, the specific type of RPL41est was expressed in A. flavusresistant strains. This indicates that higher expression level of ribosomal protein L41 in developing fruit shell, cotyledon and leave is possible related to specific expression of this specific RPL41ests and to Aspergillus flavus resistance.
