Abstract: Zhangzagu 3 hao is a hybrid millet breeding by the Zhangjiakou Academy of Agricultural Sciences using millet thermo-sensitive line.Zhangzagu 3 hao has the characteristics that are high drought resistance, resistance to fall, strong adaptability, high and stable yield. The present paper deals with an anatomy analysis of stem and leaf and spike of Zhangzagu 3 hao.The results showed that Zhangzagu 3 hao was characteristic of a C4 species or Kranz leaf.A layer of well developed bundle sheath cells surrounds the vascular tissue. The bundle sheath cells contained numerous chloroplasts and the bundle sheath chloroplasts were considerably larger and elongated. The stems had bigger vascular bundle area and the ear stem had high starch content.Millet ear differentiation stage had more and dense branch primordium number which can develop into the big ears.At last,we can gain high yeild of Zhangzagu 3 hao. This paper discussesed the high stress resistance and high yield character of Zhangzagu 3 hao on the structure characteristics,to provided anatomical evidence for evaluation the stress resistance and high yield ability of this millet.
