Effects of Different Rht Genes on Wheat Grain Quality

Abstract: Several years results showed that there were no differences in grain protein content among Rht1,Rht2 and rht isogenic lines.However,the grain protein content of Rht3 line was significantly higher than the three lines mentioned above.Grain lysine content of Rht3 line was significantly higher than that of Rht2 and rht lines,and grain lysine content of Rht10 line was higher than that of Rht1 line. There were no differences in protein content between other lines. Flour sedimentation volume of Rht10 line was significantly higher than that of Rht1,Rht8 and Rht12,and flour sedimentation volume of Rht3 line was higher than that of Rht1,Rht2 and rht lines.Flour gluten content of Rht10 and Rht3 lines were significantly higher than other lines. In addition, there were differences in grain quality among different lines in different years.
