Abstract: With continuous study of fatty acids,people realize the close relationship between fatty acid and the health of the body.In recent years,the research of the relationship between fatty acids and immune system has become one of the hottest topics.In this paper,research progress concerning the effects of saturated,monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids on immune functions are presented.In addition,the mechanisms by which fatty acids might modulate immune functions are also elaborated.
