Abstract: The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary nutrient levels and days of pregnancy on nutrient composition of Longissimus dorsi (LD) muscle in Huanjiang mini-pigs.A total of 48 primiparous Huanjiang mini-pigs were randomly assigned into one of two groups, feeding NRC diet or local-pig diet, and reared in 8 pens(replicates) with 3 mini-pigs per pen.At 45,75,and 110 days of pregnancy, one pig was selected randomly and sacrificed from each pen. After sacrificed by bloodletting, the LD muscle were sampled for determining nutrient composition. Results showed that the LD muscle contents of leucine, isoleucine, valine, arginine, threonine, and lysine from NRC diet group at 75 days of service were significantly higher(P <0.05),as well as the crude protein at 110 days of service, while the content of monounsaturated fatty acid at 110 days of service was significantly lower(P <0.05),when compared with the local-pig diet group.Compared with the sows at 45 and 110 days of service, the majority of amino acids in LD muscle of NRC diet group were significantly higher(P <0.05) at 75 days of service. These findings suggested that NRC diet could increase the deposition of muscle protein by increasing the body amino acid supply during gestational period especially 1 to 75 days of pregnancy, which result in the achievement of body maturity as soon as possible and improvement of fetal growth and development.
