Abstract: Mongolian cattle are ancient and local breed which were breed under cold weather condition of Mongolian Plateau. It possesses numerous outstanding characteristics such as,stable heredity, strong ability of disease resistance, coarse feed tolerance, grazing and fatten suitability, and great adaptability. In order to illustrate the influence of BMP4 gene to reproductive performance of Mongolian cattle, total RNA was isolated from the ovary, uterus, oviduct and kidney of Mongolian cattle, and the primers were designed according to the report by GenBank.Taking β-actin as inner Criteria,we detected the expression status of BMP4 gene in ovary, uterus, oviduct and kidney of Mongolian cattle by semi quantitative RT-PCR(SQ RT-PCR) technology in this research. The results show that BMP4 gene was expressed in ovaries, oviduct, uterus and kidney, but its expression abundances in different tissues was different. The mRNA level of BMP4 gene in the ovary of Mongolian cattle was extremely significantly higher than that in its oviduct, uterus and kidney(P0.01);and in the uterus was extremely significantly higher than that in the oviduct and kidney(P0.01).
