Abstract: "Flag leaf is an important photosynthetic organ influencing wheat yield, and therefore,to determine the relationship between the existence of flag leaves and wheat yield plays a key role in wheat production. In the study,35 lines afforded by different wheat breeding institute for region experiments were removed flag leaves during different stages after heading to determine the different effects on the ear length, the 1 000-grain weight, the number of grains and the number of spike-lets per ear.The result showed that removing flag leaf on 0,7,21days could resulted the decreasing 1 000-grain weight by 14.7%,13.9%,and 14.1%,respectively;there was a minor impact on the ear length, the number of grains and the number of spike-lets per ear;there existed difference in wheat yield influencing among various removing flag leaf stages.
