Abstract: In order to study the effects of different forms of nitrogenous fertilizer in alleviating cadmium toxicity to crops, and to reduce the harm of cadmium on human health, the wheat of Liaochun 10 and potted plants were utilized to simulate the pollution of cadmium to farmland. The experiment involved two forms of nitrogen(NH4 + -N and NO3--N) and five levels of nitrogen quantity to research the effects of nitrogen forms in different nitrogen quantity on nitrogenous compounds of spring wheat. The results showed that shoot dry weight, shoot nitrogen accumulation and foliar chlorophylls in NH4 + -N supplied wheat were higher than that of NO3 --N supplied wheat under cadmium stress. At the same time, soluble protein content and NR activity in NO3 --N supplied wheat were higher than in NH4 + -N supplied wheat under the nitrogen quantity between 150 and 300 kg /ha.

Key words: Cadmium, NH4+-N, NO3--N, Nitrogen levels, Wheat
