Selection of the New Tomato Hybrid “Hong Ju” with High Quality and Harder Fruits

Abstract: "Hongju" was hybrid F1 from self-line Chi 15 and Chi 18,indefinite inflorescence,the first flower was in 6~8 nodes,3~5 fruits in one spica,fruit weight 150~200g.The fruit has the following characters:oblate、sclerotesta and red,smooth,little fruit navel,no dehiscent fruit,good marketing,stable storage and conveyance.The content of vitamin C was up to 201mg/kg,soluble sugar 2.56%,TA 0.41%,TSS 4.7%.Shelf-life in 25℃ was 20d,high adaptiveness.Its yield was 8000~10000kg/667m2 in unopen."Hongju" is fitting to be grown in north of China for both open and unopen area,especially in unopen to summer.
