Abstract: The chlorophyll content in the mutants reduced and the absorption spectra, fluorescence emission spectra and excitation spectra of chloroplast thylakoid-membrane (normal temperature) decreased gradually at the stage of albescent process. At the white leaf stage these inclices decreased to the minimum, but no obvious change of the peak numbers and location was found. Electrophoretic analysis showed that the contents of all constitutes of pigment-protein complex of thylakoid-membrane decreased gradually and in the complete white leaves they almost disappeared. However, after staining with commassie Brilliant Blue R250,it was found that all polypeptid constitutes exist except CPIs and CPI,only their contents reduced. At the stage of regreening, all the mentioned items recovered to normal levels of its ancestor "Aibian No.1".
