Abstract: The present test was carried out with Scindapsus aureus, Aglaonema moclestum,Anthurium andreanum, Sansevieria trifasciata and Gerbera jamesonii to document the effect of different treatment concentration of formaldehyde on membrane permeability and activities of SOD and POD in five ornamental plants. The results showed that the membrane permeability of the ornamental plants has increased in different degrees, but the changes of activities of SOD and POD are different with different plants.
