Abstract: Simple sequence repeats (SSRs) markers were adopted in heterotic diversity of 30 elite waxy corn inbred lines. Twenty-one SSR primers giving stable amplified profiles detected 101 alleles among the lines tested. The average number of alleles per SSR locus was 4.81 with a range from 2 to 10. The value of polymorphism information content (PIC) for each SSR Locus varied from 0.43 to 0.87 with an average of 0.60. The UPGMA analysis classified 30 inbred lines into 6 clusters.
