Abstract: The fruits of Melia azedarach L.were dried and ground to powder, from which the extracts were obtained using methanol as solvent by means of the ultrasonic-assisted method, and then were made into different concentrations. The extracts were used to study the bacteriostatic circle and the bacteriostic percentage to two biological pesticides,Bt-8010 and Bt-7216.The result indicated that the higher the extract concentration of Melia azadarach L.was, the greater the bacteriostatic effect was.The bacteriostatic effect to Bt-7216 was higher than to Bt-8010.Mixing the Bt with high concentration of extracts of Melia azedarach L would reduce the bacteriostatic effect.

Key words: Melia azadarach L., Bacillus, Bacillus thuringiensis, Bacteriostasis activity
