Abstract: The effects of some agronomical measures, such as fertilization, irrigation and chemical control,on improving the quality of strong-gluten wheat were studied. The results showed that dressing of nitrogen at booting stage was beneficial to the metabolism and transformation of nitrogen in the plant, resulting in improved quality in comparison to that of dressing at jointing.Application of nitrogen at grain filling stage improved some main quality characters by facilitating the metabolism and transformation of nitrogen. The chemical control using the PGRs-Maijian had positive effect on the stability time in Farinograph, while some fungicides had negative effect on some main quality characters. The techniques for the cultivation of the strong-gluten wheat were discussed based on the results.
