Abstract: The watermelon strain of papaya ringspot virus (PRSV-W), zucchini yellow mosaic virus (ZYMV), watermelon mosaic virus (WMV) and scab(cladosporium cucumerinum) are major diseases that cause significant disease losses in cucumber. Based on a RIL population (No. 8 European × Qiupeng), disease evaluations are identified. The frequency distribution in cucumber RIL population for DI traits involving resistance to the PRSV-W, WMV, ZYMV and scab show two peaks. This indicate that resistance to these diseases are controlled by main gene, but some minor gene also have moderate effect. The linkage analysis results showed that ZYMV, PRSV-W and WMV are linked, the sequence is ZYMV-10cM-PRSV-22 cM-WMV.
