Abstract: The genes effect controlling quantitative traits is greatly noticed by genetic academics for a long time, especially at the time when Human Genome Project is to be finished. And thus, how to translate DNA segments to trait is one of important items. In this article, a generaLanalysis modeLusing molecular marker materiaLis established for discussing the genes relative effect and the translating from dominant genes DNA segments to quantitative trait.T he result shows:by this way, the dominant genes effect can be estimated by thecoefficient of molecular marker regression equations fitting the orthogonaLlayout codominant molecular markermaterials under some hypotheticaLconditions, and thus, a method and theory basis for translating gene codeDNA segments to quantitative trait is presented, and a new method of animaLmolecular marker assistant selection is supplied in the same time.
