Abstract: According to high boron soil distribution in China, the responses of wheat varieties to boron toxicity were studied. The results as follows, soil boron concentration significantly affected wheat growth, that is more yellow leaves, less dry matter, undeveloped root system under high boron concentration and the root systems were more sensitive to boron than shoots. The responses of wheat varieties to soil boron toxicity were significantly different. The boron concent rations in plants change with the varieties and soil boron concentrations. So it is possible to select the boron resistant varieties in alkaline soil with high boron.
