Abstract: In the trial of testing standards and methods for cabbage winterness characteristics, the temperature of flower bud differentiation, the age of seedling, duration, temperature and duration after induction were tested. The experiment demonstrated that it was a proper method, in which cabbage seedlings with 7 8 leaves were treated at 5℃ for 50 days, with 12 hours lighting per day, before transferred the treatment at 25~30℃ (day) and 15~20℃ (night) for 15 days. The grades of flower bud differentiation were investigated, and calculated the flower bud differentiation index. The winterness for 2 inbred lines 8 spring early mature combinations were evaluated in this method.
