Embryogenesis via Culture of Garlic Sprout Leaf

Abstract

Abstract: Calli appeared from sprout leaf of garlic culture on MS (1/2NH₄NO₃)+2,4-D 2mg / L+KT 0.5mg / L.These calli were survived on subculture media 4 times. Embryogenesis and plantlet regeneration occured on MS(KNO₃2525mg/ L+(NH₄)₂SO₄ 1650mg / L,no NH₄NO₃)+KT 2mg / L+6-BA 4mg / L+Adenine 2mg / L+IAA 0.01mg / L.Higher concentration of cytokinin/auxin, NO₃^-/NH₄⁺ >1, IAA< 0.01mg / L were essential to the embryogenesis.
