Effect of Nanoscale ZnSn(OH)6 on Seed Germination and Rooting

Abstract: In order to explore the intrinsic mechanism of wheat seed germination and growth,nano-scale ZnSn(OH)6 preparation were used to stimulate wheat seed with Shannong 27 as material. The effects of nano-scale ZnSn(OH)6 preparation on seed germination rate and seed rooting were studied. The results showed that the germination rate of nano-sized ZnSn(OH)6 preparations with two different structures were relatively high at the concentration of 5,10 mg/L. When the core-shell structure of ZnSn(OH)6 was 10 mg/L,the promotion rate of main root length,lateral root length and stem height reached 4.76%,14.43% and 5.17%,respectively. When the solid structure of ZnSn(OH)6 was 10,50 mg/L,it promoted the main root length,lateral root length and stem height. These results indicate that exogenous nano-scale ZnSn(OH)6 preparations can improve the germination and rooting rate of wheat seeds by enhancing the nutrient absorption ability of wheat seeds. These data are of great significance for improving the use of nano-materials in agriculture.
