Abstract: A nitrogen fertilizer experiment was conducted to measure total sugar content and reduced sugar content in different tobacco leaves in order to explore the impact of nitrogen fertilizer on the above mentioned parameters in different leaf position. The results showed that total sugar content and reduced sugar content in A treatment and B treatment were increased firstly and then decreased with the drop of leaf position. The total sugar content and reduced sugar content in A treatment and B treatment were increased significantly from leaf to cutters and those were decreased significantly from cutters to fly.The difference of two sugars between A treatment and B treatment was reduced firstly and then raised with the drop of leaf position. The difference of two sugars in upper leaf was highest, followed by lower leaf, and cutters was lowest. The total sugar content, reduced sugar content and difference of two sugars in A treatment most leaves position were higher than B treatment. So the conclusion was that total sugar, reduced sugar and difference of two sugars of different leaf position were lower under 112.5 kg/ha nitrogen fertilizer treatment than that of 97.5 kg/ha nitrogen fertilizer treatment.
