Abstract: High efficiency binary expression vector was constructed based on pCambia3301 vector, modified by the components of maize ubiquitin promoter, transit peptide of Arabidopsis thaliana chlorophyll (Ctp) gene, and resistance to glyphosate Epsps gene. The recombinant plasmid was transferred into Agrobacterium tumefaciens LBA4404 by freeze-thawing method, then transformed into maize immature embryos. The plants resistant to glyphosate with non-antibiotic marker gene were obtained. The preliminary identification in the field demonstrated that the transgenic maize plants were capable of resisting glyphosate to some extent.
