Abstract: materials of Puccinia recondite f.sp. tritici from 11 counties or cities in 3 ecological areas of Shanxi were tested by using near isogenic lines(or monogenic lines) of wheat leaf rust resistance as differential hosts. The results indicated that the prevalent pathotypes were TRK,TRT,PHT and THT with the frequency of 19.6%,9.8%,6.5% and 6.5% respectively, among the 27 detected pathotypes. The analysis of virulence dynamics of Puccinia recondite f. sp.tritici showed that the frequencies of V19,V24 and V38 were 5.4%,16.5% and 0,respectively.It means that the wheat leaf rust could be effectively controlled by the corresponding resistance genes in Shanxi.
