Abstract: N.P.K.in the leaves of the' Shanhuang' apricot tree tended to decrease within the first 60 days after blossoming. The N level tended to increase with physiological differentiation of flower buds between 60 and 90 days after blossoming, and to decrease with morphological differentiation of flower buds after these days. The P level changed little from the 60th day after blossoming to the time of leave-falling.The K level tended to increase with morphological differentiation of the flower bud 95 days after blossoming.Comprehensive analyses indicated that it was necessary to apply organic manure or N- P- K composite during the period after harvesting and before leave-falling;to apply N fertilizers within the first 60 days right aftet blossoming jand to apply K fertilizers between 65 and 95 days after blossoming. The analyses of N.P.K.relationship demonstrated that apricot was a potassium-loving tree species.
