Abstract: Potassium channels and transporters are important pathways for plant potassium uptake. According to the protein structure and function, they can be divided into Shaker potassium channel family, TPK potassium channel family, Kir-like potassium channel family, GNGC potassium channel, KUP/HAK/KT potassium transporter family, HKT potassium transporter family, CPA transporter family, and all of which are expressed in different tissues or organs in plants. In this study, the molecular biology research progress of the above potassium channel and potassium transporter families were reviewed in detail for three aspects: structure, function and related proteins.

Key words: Potassium, Potassium channel, Potassium transporter, Low potassium stress
