Abstract: To provide scientific sound assistant for the use of dried distillers grains with solubles(DDGS) in dairy cow,we conducted the experiment to study the effect of feeding DDGS on the mechanism of Chinese Holstein Cows through the analysis of blood amino acids and blood metabolites. Forty-eight multiparous Chinese Holstein cows(DIM(99 ± 58. 6) d) were randomly assigned to one of 4 treatments: corn-soybean meal(control,Ctrl), 13. 3% DDGS(DDGS1), 25. 1% DDGS(DDGS2), and 34. 1% DDGS(DDGS3). Blood samples were collected at wk 1,4 and 7 from individual cows from the coccygeal artery. The samples were analyzed for amino acids and blood metabolites. Results showed that Leu in blood plasma increased as the concentration of DDGS increased. Lys tended to decrease following the increased level of DDGS. Essential amino acids and total amino acids in blood plasma had a tendency of increasing until the DDGS reached 25% of diets. Blood serum urea decreased with increasing concentrations of dietary DDGS. Blood NEFA and GLDH tended to increase linearly until the percentage of DDGS reached 34. 1% DM,in all treatment DDGS2 was highest. TG in serum had a tendency to decrease, though did not differ significantly. The serum ALT decreased for DDGS1,DDGS2 and DDGS3,compared with Ctrl. The other blood metabolites were similar for all treatments. Results of this study showed that the use of DDGS did not have any negative impact on the metabolism of cow. In concern with the single amino acid composition,it is appropriate for the dairy ration being formulated to contain about 25% DDGS(DM basis).
