Abstract: A Ilew DNA fragment was amplified by PCR from DNA of Agropyron mongolicum Keng and was named MwRRT(GenBank GQ855806.1).Sequencing results showed that MwRRT was composed of 1 005 bp and encoded 260 amino acid residues. The homologies analysis of the amino acid sequence in GenBank showed that:it has 47%identity with putative retrotransposon protein Ty3-gypsy subclass、putative gag·pol precursor and putative polyprotein in Oryza sativa at the 98—255 amino acid;it has 52%identity with putative gag-pol precursor in Sorghum bicolor.

Key words: Agropyron mongolicum Keng, Retrotransposon, Cloning
