Correlation of H-FABP Gene Expression with IMF and Fatty Acid Content in Laiwu Pigs and Duroc

Abstract: This experiment was conducted to study the differential expression of H-FABP gene between Laiwu pigs and Duroc,and analysis correlation of H-FABP gene expression with IMF(intramuscular fat) and fatty acid content of longissimus muscle. Ten Laiwu pigs and seven Duroc weighting approximately 100 kg were chosen for the experiment. Expression of H-FABP at mRNA in LM of Laiwu pigs and Duroc were measured by real time fluorescence RT-PCR,I MF and fatty acid content were measured. The result indicated that,Compared with Duroc,H-FABP gene expression of longissimus muscle in Laiwu pigs was increased by 36. 16% . Correlation between H-FABP gene expression and IMF content with SFA(saturated fatty acid) ,SFA + MUFA (monounsaturated fatty acids) in Laiwu pigs Duroc was prominent. Correlation between H-FABP gene expression and IMF content with PUSA(polyunsaturated fatty acid) was distinctly negative,with sum of fatty acid in Laiwu pigs was not remarkable,t hat's of Duroc was contrary. Correlation between H-FABP gene expression with IMF content and fatty acid composing was marked,so H-FABP is candidate gene of IMF in Laiwu pigs' breeding.
