Parental Analysis of New Nectarine Variety Zijinhong1 by SSR

Abstract

Abstract: New nectarine variety Zijinhong1 was selected from naturally pollinated seedlings of early matured nec tarine because of its superior quality in economic traits.However,its parents were still unknown.Twenty three nectarine varieties which were suspectedto be its parents,aswell as Zijinhong1 itself,were used as plant material,and SSRmarkers for its codominant characteristic were used to analyze the probable parents.The results of SSRPCR showed that 48 primersout of 163 could produce polymorphism and legible alleles.Twenty loci amplified by 17 primers performed co dominant pattern.Genetic relationship based on 185 alleles showed that EarlyRed 2was the most similar variety to Zijin hong1 with a SM coefficient of 0.881,and the two varieties were clustered into one group in dendrograme.According to the statistic of inheritance of codominant loci,three loci amplified by CPPCT15,BPPCT031 andUDP96018,respective ly,could dispose all tested varieties possibly to be the parents of Zijinhong1 except EarlyRed 2.So Zijinhong1 may most probably selected from self cross seedlings of EarlyRed 2,or EarlyRed was at least one parent of Zijinhong1.
