Abstract: Twentyeight varieties of Sweet Sorghum were studied on the correlative relations between forage quality characters and morphological characters. The correlative and path analysis showed that the direct effect of plant height and fresh weight on forage quality characters were the largest, thenwas tiller number and stem diameter, and node number was the lowest. There were also correlative relations between forage quality characters.Significant positive correlation between brix and crude fiber and significant negative correlations between brix and crude protein, wax were tested; high significant positive correlation between crude protein and crude fiber was also tested. Therefore, the restrictive relationship between forage quality characters should be considered during the variety breeding of Sweet Sorghum.
